workshop details
WORKSHOPS ARE HERE!
We're THRILLED to announce that we've partnered with local mom + children's librarian Miss Rachael Dabkey for three unique, engaging and FUN workshops starting September 21st! Workshops will be held at Waterlemon on Monday's and Tuesday's and are perfect for children ages 4-8. Workshops are all 90-minutes long and each week will feature something new and different that your children will LOVE being a part of.
Why we love this: While children are engaging in fun, creative activities in our play area led by Miss Rachael, you, as parents and caregivers, are getting a luxurious 90-minute break in our cafè to catch up on emails, finish those spreadsheets, complete those reports, upload that blog, make phone calls or do WHATEVER you need to do to CATCH UP.
Important Note: A max of 2 parents or guardians may be present due to COVID capacity limits. This is not a "drop off" class. Parents or guardians must be present throughout the workshop.
Masks: Per Illinois Phase 4 Reopening Guidelines, children as well as their parents/guardians must wear face masks when entering our store as well as during the workshops. However, parents/guardians and children may remove masks when seated in our café area just like you would at a restaurant.
SESSIONS + THEMES
STORIES & STEAM
Let’s build upon a child’s curiosity and wonder! In Stories & Steam, children will question, create, and discover through books and hands-on activities. Activities include experimenting with chemical reactions, discovering dinosaurs and fossils, and learning about famous artists by creating your very own masterpiece.
LEARN & PLAY
Children learn best through play. In this class, children will work on their socialization, early literacy, and math skills through circle time, hands-on activities, and centers. There will be three new activities every week!
AFTERNOON ANTICS
In this class, children will have fun participating in engaging, hands-on activities from making slime to paper maché animals. Every week will be different! During our first class, children will be able to vote on activities they want to do in future classes.
